Hi I'm William.

I'm a husband and father, a towboat man, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father in a blended family. We have his, hers, and ours children. I'm married to a beautiful wife. I've worked on the west coast of British Columbia for almost thirty years. We have a big dog named Samson. In my spare time I like to play the guitar, wrestle my kids, and go jogging. I like taking walks in the forest with my dog. Everyday I try to be a better person. My job takes me away from home. I'm usually sailing as Mate. I run midnight to six in the morning watch and noon til six at night. We tow logs and barges. I've sailed from Tuktoyaktuk to San Diego. My life is really erratic and I never know when I'm going to work. Sometimes it is very hard on family life.

Why I am a Mormon

I crashed and burned in my life. I divorced from my daughter's mother. Life just fell apart. I said a prayer one night, "God help me." Soon after many people came to the door preaching. I listened to what all of them had to say. Finally the Missionaries knocked on the door. I started studying with them and then finally accepted what they had to say. I was baptized as a result of them and good friends. I ended up marrying my wife and we had a son. The rest is history. Life is still uneasy at times but Jesus Christ is our pilot.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class for the adults. I also have found that the church and the teachings have helped me improve my life. It has started me on the stairs to being a better person. One with more understanding and having compassion on others.
