Hi I'm Betsy Love

I'm a Mormon. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I wrote an LDS novel-Identity

About Me

I have a great husband, 8 wonderful children, and 14 adorable grandchildren. I'm an author and spend most of my time either creating new stories, or editing the ones getting ready to send to the publisher. I have a deep love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I've served in almost every organization in the church. I currently serve as a young women's adviser. I love working with the youth! I taught high school English and Theater, but now spend my time writing. Our family loves to go to Lake Powell every year with my husband's brothers. Life is great!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. It's always been a part of my life. When did I gain my testimony? It wasn't all at once, but little by little, over the years or studying the scriptures, saying my prayers and building a personal relationship with my Savior. There is peace in knowing that I am where my Father in Heaven wants me to be. I reflect often back to the covenant I made at baptism and that is to stand as His witness. I know that being here in His church has brought me the most peace in my life. Not only did I grow up in the church, but my ancestors walked across the plains with the Willy Handcart Company. So many have criticized their untimely departure. But for me, it was a true testimony that they wanted to hasten to Zion. That desire has been instilled in me. I will always hasten to Zion, hasten to do what my Savior wants me to do.

How I live my faith

My life has been one of serving where ever the Lords wants me to serve. Currently I am an adviser to the young women, specifically to the 14-15 year old girls. This is my favorite age. They are an amazing group of girls who I love dearly. Their love of the gospel shines through! Every other Sunday I get to give a lesson on a gospel principle. I often think I am teaching them...I learn more from them than I think they are getting from me. I love to attend my church meeting. If I miss a week, I feel lost.
