Hi I'm Hayden

I'm an adventurer. I dream big. I put my imagination to work. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There is an adventure waiting to happen at the beginning of every day, and I am out to experience it! Every day is a gift, and is brimming with possibility. I'll be going to school in sunny California to earn my degree in Character Animation! If all my dreams come true, I'll be working for the Walt Disney Company. Put me as an animator, make me an Imagineer, and I'll be the happiest boy on earth. I'm a Disney-Geek. Ask me about anything Disney, and I'll talk to you for hours. My family makes the long journey from cold-n-dry Idaho to Disneyland several times a year! It's our "laughin' place," the place where we can get together, have fun together, love each other, and laugh together! I'm the happy middle child of a family of 5 (mom and dad included) and I love them with all my heart. My family is everything to me. It's such a blessing that my best friends also happen to be my family as well. I absolutely love to draw, paint; I have been doing art comissions for almost 3 years now. I've always been a pretty out-going person, musical-theater in high school, I'm constantly singing, and always making goofy faces! I love my family with all my heart, they're my best friends. I love to bake, cook, and so what if I whip out my "Julia Child" impression while I'm doing it? I seek inspiration from anything and everything. I love reading biographies; the stories of great men and women that have gone before and taught us how to live. You can learn from everyone.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been Mormon for many, many, many generations, so I was born and raised a Mormon. But my parents didn't want me just mindlessly attending church, they really helped me explore my spirituality, and they were a great resource in answering all of the questions my soul was asking. There was a time in my life where I was really doubting my belief in God and Jesus Christ. Were they really there? Is there really something beyond this life? My mind was just consumed by fearful doubts. I looked around at all of my fellow LDS friends and was almost jealous of the strong faith that they possessed, for I certainly felt less than firm in my beliefs. As a teenager, it was very hard; my soul wanted to believe in something, I just couldn't figure out how to find my faith! Then I had had enough of mindlessly living. I began praying. I read the Book of Mormon. I learned more about my Savior, Jesus Christ. I received such an incredibly strong witness over time that this was more than just a church... This is the very gospel of Jesus Christ; it is alive and well on the earth! It is only through His restored gospel that my family and I can live together forever, AS A FAMILY. That means everything in the world to me! I'm a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, and because this is His church. I'm a Mormon because this is where true happiness is; I've finally found it. It was right in front of me the whole time, but I finally opened my eyes.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Washington Seattle Mission, and for two years I am solely dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to any and all who will receive it. Every minute of every day I strive to stand as an example of Christ, doing what I know he would have me do. Before I left for my mission, I taught a Sunday School class for the 10 year old children of our congregation, and I absolutely loved it! It was beautiful to see children so strong in their faith of Jesus Christ. Also, working with the kids was always exciting; never a dull moment! I have offered my artistic talents to the church, and I've created several pieces for various church functions.
