Hi I'm Brandon

I love to listen to and make music. I'm an Eagle scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I always have music on. Whether I'm playing it myself, or listening to what others have made, I have to have music. I also love to read. If I find a good book, I'll sit and read for hours. I have an awesome family. I'm the oldest of six children, and I love it. My younger brothers and sister are so much fun, and while I'm on a mission in Washington, I miss them very much.

Why I am a Mormon

My whole family are member of the Church, but that's not necessarily why I'm a Mormon. If I didn't believe it, I wouldn't be on a mission. I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, as he organized it while he was on Earth. No matter what question I think of or am asked, I can always find an answer, whether in the scriptures, in talks by modern day prophets, in the Hymns we sing in Church, or through prayer. This is where all of the answers are. I love the strength of the Spirit when I hear about Joseph Smith, how he asked our Heavenly Father in an earnest prayer which church was true, and how our loving Father in Heaven answered him with restoring the true Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth. Heavenly Father also blessed us with the Book of Mormon, which is another witness that Jesus Christ lives. He called a prophet to lead and guide the church today, just like He did in times of old, and that prophet teaches us how to follow Christ, how to live righteously, and how we can return to live with our Father in Heaven with our families. The message of eternal families is really important to me. I really love my family, and I want to be with them forever. I love that I know that when I marry in the temple, my spouse and I will be together with each other for eternity. Lastly, and most importantly, I'm grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It is because of Him that eternal families are possible. He died and rose again so that we could also live forever, and when we do our best to follow his example, to have faith in him, repent, and endure to the end, we can return to live in heaven in the presence of God, with our families forever.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary for the Church serving in the Washington Seattle Mission. I love being able to share with others that which makes me happy. I said that I love music. I get the opportunity to listen to spiritually uplifiting music all the time, particularly the hymns of our Church. The power of music to bring the Spirit into my life is something that I know works, and is something that I love to share through my limited piano and violin playing ability. The Church's emphasis on scouting helped me to get my Eagle Scout. I was able to create a service project, collecting clothes for an orphanage in Curacao. The community was able to supply lots of supplies, and I was able to send them by plane to the orphanage. It was really a blessing in my life to be able to serve others.
