Hi I'm Jason

I'm a Texacanasian, I love my family, friends, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My Mom is South Korean, my Dad is Canadian. I was born in Canada, but moved to Texas when I was ten, hence my nickname, the Texacanasian. I play the piano, guitar, and the tuba. I went to college for a year and am currently serving a two-year mission in Seattle, Washington. I miss my family but I love the work I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a member of the LDS Church, but I haven't always been an exemplary member, or a true Christian. But it was the teachings of my loving and patient parents, teachers, and Heavenly Father that have changed my life. I believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know He knows and cares about me. I strive every day to follow His example, because that's how He asked us to show our love for Him. (John 14:15) Why am I a Mormon? Because I love it. Because I know that I can't make it by myself, because I know that I tried and tried and tried to change myself from who I really was into who I really wanted to be, and I failed every time. Only the power of the Savior Jesus Christ was able to change my life. I learned about God's plan, His mercy, and His love from the pages of the Book of Mormon. I've read it and I prayed to God to know if it was true. I felt a confirmation, a warm feeling of love and peace and joy that really can't be described in words. I prayed to Him, and the answer came. I know that it is true, and that anyone and everyone can know it too. Knowledge and truth comes from God. If we ask Him, He will tell us what's right.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by praying and reading the scriptures and becoming a convert to the Lord Jesus Christ, every day of my life. Conversion to the Lord is not an instant, one-time thing. It's a process of building and learning.

Are Mormons Christians?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, (the LDS or Mormon Church), is a Christian Church in every sense of the word. We believe in Christ, we worship Him, we seek to follow His example. There is no other way to heaven except through Him, and we strive to share the wonderful message with all the world that the Savior has come, and that He came here for all of us. I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that He showed us the perfect example, I know that He taught the truth, I know that He died for my sins. He is the center and the head of our Church, He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Are "Mormons" Christians? Yes! Show more Show less
