Hi I'm Austin

I am from the wonderful, humid Florida; I'm currently a missionary in the beautiful, greater Seattle area! and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing video games, fencing, and tinkering with anything that catches my interest. Before dedicating my time to be a missionary for the Savior, I went to Brigham Young University for a year, and got some of my GE's out of the way. I don't really have a major in mind, I'm still trying to figure out what it is that I'm going to do. I love reading, especially in the science-fiction or fantasy genre. I think Star Wars is enthralling. I've thrown around aspirations from game design to business administration.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't really have everything figured out, but I can tell you what I do know. I know that God loves me, and you. That he sent his Only Begotten to reconcile or atone for us, to redeem or to purchase us from the grasps of our own mistakes, sins, and failings. That through his infinite sacrifice for man we can always overcome and progress. And that has been the plan from the beginning. That since God has placed men here on the earth he had a plan in place for us to return to him, and it involves prophets. And as long as men are on this earth, God will continue to show His love by inspiring and calling men to be prophets. And I like to think: "because Moses didn't have to deal with the internet and fast cars" or any of the many modern day problems that we face. When I was just starting high school I really had to decide if what I had been taught and shown was true. It's true for every adolescent, there are a lot of influences pulling you in different directions. Was it something that I wanted to pursue? What is truth? I asked a lot of --at least what I thought were-- really big questions. When I finished the Book of Mormon I took it's invitation, and that's something you will see a lot of on this website: ask God. I know that he leads and directs this Church today and that He has called modern-day prophets for the same purpose he ever has: To Testify of Christ, the Messiah. I know my Savior lives, and he loves me, and he's given me every day to learn more and understand more about His great and atoning sacrifice so that I can overcome and be purified and perfected in Him and return to live with my Eternal Father. I testify of this, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been called of God, by a living prophet, to testify of Jesus Christ. As a missionary I have the wonderful privilege to go every day, all day, and live a simple life and testify and work in the Lord's Kingdom in the hope of helping someone, somewhere come closer to their Savior and to build their faith in Him.
