Hi I'm Joshua Mitchell

I have the most incredible family. I'm as happy as can be. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am overall super excited about life! I love to be physically active. One of my favorite activities is a small soccer game in the backyard with my siblings and parents, and then a delicious barbeque around the fire pit. I love being outdoors, specifically at the beach and in places where I can just ponder. I went to BYU in Provo, Utah, loved the whole environment and feeling, and I am excited to continue my studies. I am fascinated with the human body, one of God's greatest gifts to us, and that's why I'm hoping to be an orthopedic surgeon farther down the road. I have a passion for cooking, constantly growing and improving myself, and doing anything to make others happy. I'm a crazy and energetic person that loves to be out doing things. And spending time with family and friends just makes life that much better.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of this church my whole life and I absolutely love it. I know for myself that this is the correct path because I have felt and seen the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life. I've have had some special experiences that have helped me come to a perfect knowledge that Jesus is the Christ and that He loves every single one of us. I have seen my family receive so many blessings and there is no doubt in my mind that it all comes directly from God. That doesn't diminish the fact that life is difficult. It is meant to test us and try us. But with God, it is possible - and even fulfilling.

How I live my faith

I have truly loved growing up in the Gospel and will never be able to express how much I love it. I served as a member of our ward choir for a number of years. I helped in the preparation of ward activities as well, which brought me a lot of joy, as I was in the service of others. I have also participated in conducting music in various meetings, giving talks about Gospel principles, and even translating between the English and Spanish languages. I am currently serving a mission for the church in Seattle, Washington, which is where I learned most of my Spanish. I love being able to help others because that is where I get the most joy and satisfaction.
