Hi I'm Diana

I'm a Mormon, a Wife, a Mother, a dog owner and a Vice President. I love glorifying God in all that I do!

About Me

I am an energetic, athletic and compassionate person who thrives on caring for those around me. I believe God put me here to be a good listener to those in need whether at home, work, with friends or at church. I love to play a lot of sports, cook for family and friends, mess around in my garden, and hike with my husband and 4 dogs. Growing up in New York City opened my eyes and heart to many ethnicities, races and religious backgrounds. I love learning about different cultures and sharing that passion and knowledge with my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I loved growing up Catholic. When I hit my teens, I felt something was missing and so I began actively researching different religions; Protestant, Jewish, Christian Science. They were all beautiful, and yet, I still felt that something was missing. For many years I considered myself a "Free Thinker" non-denominational Christian. Nine years ago I came across a book entitled "Jesus The Christ" that I stumbled upon at someone's home. I began to read the book, not being familiar with the author. I could not put the book down. Five months prior, while working disaster recovery at New York City's Twin Tower disaster site, I had prayed on bended knee for God to show me the way and to use me for His purpose. I was depressed, suffering from post traumatic shock after the Towers went down, lonely and wondering what God's plan was for me. On May, 2002, two days after I finished reading the book, the Mormon missionaries showed up at my door. After a four hour discussion, a sweet warm feeling filled my heart and I knew that God was answering my prayers. This was the church that God wanted me to belong too. Baptized the following month, I have been an active member ever since; providing countless hours of service and humanitarian aid. Not for one moment have I regretted my decision and now feeling I have thousands of like minded "Brothers and Sisters" sharing in the same discipleship around the world. As I serve God in Jesus' name, my heart is full, I am full of life, energy, joy and love for my fellow man.

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Employment Specialist within the region of the church where I live. It is such an honor in this difficult economic situation to be able to assists my neighbors, family and friends with job searches so they can provide for themselves and their families. I am grateful to the Mormon Church, that they developed so many service oriented programs to help those in need whether of our faith or not. Also, as a member of the church's women's organization , I have many opportunities to assist in service projects throughout our community. I am convinced that when we serve others, we glorify God and our lives are richly blessed. I love the values that our church exemplifies. As a result of following these values, I am in better shape physically and spiritually than I was 30 years ago. I now have a true plan for my life and have such a wonderful sense of true belonging and purpose.
