Hi I'm Bryce

I'm a Mormon. I am second oldest in a Canadian family of 12 children (his, hers and theirs).

About Me

I served a mission in south and central Africa 50 years ago and was the financial secretary to the mission president for 13 of the 24 months I was there. I have a beautiful and wonderful wife of 43 years whom I met while attending university, three wonderful children and 6 outstanding grandchildren so far. I have worked in the insurance industry doing third party administration services most of my working life and have now been retired over 13 years. I love life and enjoy boating on Lake Powell and snowmobiling in the Colorado Rockies with my family and others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a personal testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon for I have read and gone through it several times. I know it is another testament along with the Bible of the existence of Jesus Christ, the Son of God the Eternal Father which has been born to me by the Holy Ghost. I also know that Joseph Smith, a Prophet of God, was given power to translate the gold plates which make up the Book of Mormon, and that it is a histoy of God's dealings with a people who left Jerusalem and traveled to the America's to live. Jesus Christ, after his crucifixion and reserection, visited these people and taught them His gospel the same as He did in the New Testament. I know this to be true. If we live His gospel as He has given us in both the Bible and Book of Mormon we will be given the opportunity to live with Them in the life to come. No greater gift can be given to us than this. I would exhort you to read the promise given by Moroni chapter 10 verses 4 and 5 and exercise the promise with real intent to know the truth.

How I live my faith

Most people are happy and feel fulfilled when doing service for others, therefore I find myself in the service of Jesus Christ and others. I have taken care of our church membership records for over 15 years and at present I also assist my priesthood leader in administering our group. I visit people in the hospital and in their homes giving blessings and comforting them in times of need. I visit some of our members to which I have been assigned on a monthly basis making sure they are well and happy and usually leave a spiritual message with them in their homes. I attend my Sunday worship services with my family and try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ as best I can.
