Hi I'm Robert

I grew up a military brat. I served in the Army. I've played drums in front of thousands. I'm an MRI and CT tech. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 4 and my family is top priority. I've lived in more places than years lived. I have a great understanding of different perspectives. I started playing drums at the age of 8 and went professional at 13. I served in the Army for 6 yrs where I received training as an x-ray and ct technologist. After leaving the army and going through a divorce, I was trained in MRI and have been in the medical and music fields ever since. After much fasting and prayer, I was led to my wife while touring in Canada. I knew from the moment I saw her that she was the one the Lord had prepared for me. It didn't take long for her to see that as well and we were married 9 months later. I'm extremely blessed but that doesn't mean my life is easy or that I am perfect....

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but that's not why I'm a mormon. In fact, I didn't always go. For a long time I didn't go. I didn't want to be a hypocrite. I had to know if it was true. I had to know. I had too much anger to see clearly. The trials we go through in life are for our own benefit. The trials I went through led me to the necessary steps to find truth. To seek truth. To have enough faith to pray and to have enough faith as to expect an answer. I know this Church is true. I know Christ atoned not only for my sins but for everybody's. I know He knows what each and every one of us go through because He went through it too. He did this because He loves us. He died on the cross that we may live. He is our perfect example. Our Father in Heaven wants us all to return to Him regardless of what your background may be. He provided the plan of salvation that we may all have that chance, even those that lived without ever learning of him. Following Christ makes me a better person. It makes me a better husband, father, son, brother and friend.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day not just on Sundays. In the way I treat my patients, in the way I treat my family, friends and neighbors. At Church I am part of our local sunday school presidency. I help pick, train, and observe teachers. I also get to substitute teach any of the classes from the nursery on up. It really keeps me on my toes and I really enjoy sharing what I know and learning from those in the class as well. In the past, I had the privilege due to my medical background and cooperation of my family to help a man recover from a liver transplant. I know he came into my life for this very purpose for he didn't have family in the area and the absence of a location for him to recover is what was keeping him from getting the liver he needed. It was because of what I was doing in Church that I came to know him and his situation. He has since moved away and I think of him often and hope he is doing well. But for me the coolest thing is seeing all my brothers and sisters grow and serve each other and the community. There are so many people that are great examples to me and keep me growing and striving to do better all the time. I am humbled to be married to a choice daughter of God. I feel great responsibility to God, family, and country. I live my life accordingly. Intelligence is the glory of God Charity is the pure love of Christ and I pray that we are all charitable.
