Hi I'm Keiri Day

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student majoring in Horticulture. I love cooking, and trying new recipes. My husband and I like going for walks, playing games, and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the truths taught in this church have helped me get through every trial in my life. I know what is taught is true because I have lived the commandments and have had the Holy Spirit testify to me that what I'm doing is good. I know that when I struggle and fail, I can repent and become better. I have received many blessings in my life as I strive to follow the teachings of our Latter-day Prophet, and those that have gone on before.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend and example to those around me. I try to live my life in such a way that those around me can know what matters to me and who I really am. In our church my husband and I work as librarians, which gives us an opportunity to help others as they perform their duties. I love the time spent with my husband and the chance we have to get to know others in our church.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Keiri Day
Husbands and wives and families can be together forever if they are sealed in temple. Most marriage ceremonies are 'till death do us part' but we believe that marriage and family can continue and allow us to always be with those we love. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Keiri Day
We believe that everything we have is a blessing from God, so when we pay tithing we are not thinking about giving up what we have as much as obeying the Lord and helping those in need. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Keiri Day
I am very grateful that this church doesn't have paid clergy, when we do something simply because it feels good or because we are asked we can grow so much more from the experience. We teach one another and do other work in the church because we know it is right and we want to do as the Savior would do. Show more Show less
