Hi I'm Josie

I grew up in a small town in Alberta, Canada. I love to laugh and have fun with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Respiratory Therapist and I love my job. I love to read and go to the library. Nothing is better than curling up with a good book and a fuzzy blanket in front of a fire! I like to cook and to try different foods. I taught myself to crochet after I graduated from school because I didn't know what to do with all my extra time (it is my secret granny habit). I'm always game for a new adventure and traveling to see new places and sites. I began to travel after I graduated and I have really caught the travelling bug. I love to experience new people and cultures - the world is so full of things to see... it is so hard to choose where to start! I like to spend time outside of the city where you can slow down and just sit in silence and enjoy this beautiful world Heavenly Father has created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I know my life has been guided by my Heavenly Father so that I can be the best that I can be. I would not be in the profession I am today if I had not recieved guidance from the Holy Spirit to choose the path I did. This helped me to know that my Heavenly Father really knows me as an individual and cares for my happiness. This has also helped me to learn to put my trust in my Heavenly Father for he truly loves me. I have felt the healing power of the Atonement as I have shared my life, my sorrows, my joy, my triumph, and my pain with Him. I know that he answers my prayers. I have heard the answers through a still small voice that speaks to my heart. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is guided by a prophet today and that we are led by revelation from God. I am so greatful for the knowledge that I have that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can be with my family for all eternity. This knowledge brings so much peace and joy to my life!

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to teach a class in church on Sunday, and oh, what a blessing it has been to me! I have been able to grow closer to my Savior as I have studied His words that have been revealed to us through our prophet, Thomas Monson, and the apostles of our day. My faith is not just a "Sunday" faith, it requires constant maintenance throughout the week. To remain close to my Savior I have chosen to spend some time each day in sincere study of the scriptures and earnest prayer to my Heavenly Father. To start my day off on the right foot I like to listen to talks that have been given by our prophet, apostles and other leaders of the church as I drive to work. This helps to keep me closer to the Savior during the day and as a result I think this makes me more patient and kind with those around me as I remember that they are children of our Heavenly Father. I try to live my life so that when I leave this mortal world I will be worthy to return to live with my Heavenly Father again.
