Hi I'm Brandy

I've lived in both the east and mid-west states of the US. I'm a creative person in all respects and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family of 10 kids. I spent much of my upbringing moving and experiencing new places around the US, including Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Canada. I also spent a year and a half living in Westchester, New York where I did a lot of traveling on the East coast doing business as an assistant for various performing arts organizations. I recently graduated with a BFA in oil painting. I'm now a mother and wife, and my life has never felt more fulfilled. I'm also an artist working in the contemporary style. I enjoy dancing and any type of creative en devour. I've recently been involved in making paper along with any type of paper product imaginable (journals, cards, lamps, window blinds, wrapping paper, etc.). My baby and I enjoy swimming and going on walks together and singing silly songs.

Why I am a Mormon

I've had many experiences in my life that have confirmed that the LDS church is true. For example, when I read the scriptures I feel the sweet companionship of the holy ghost. This feeling enriches my life, confirming the truth and reality of its teachings. The Holy Ghost also helps me to further live the other guidelines and commandments of the church. I'm a member of the church because I believe the words of the Book of Mormon, and the Bible, I have felt a personal witness from the Holy Ghost that they true.

How I live my faith

I try to always speak kindly of myself and others. I always try living my faith by visiting people and trying to make personal friendships and connections that help others remember they are loved. As a teacher for the small children in the church I try to live my faith by preparing on Sundays for each lesson. I try to be a loving teacher and show these children the correct principals of the Gospel. I also live my faith by associating with people of my church and fellow shipping with them in and outside of church. Aside from others, I also live my faith by being a mother and wife, and by spending time with my family, which I believe is an eternal and sacred responsibility.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Because we believe in the Book of Mormon, many people associate us as Mormons so it has been a common nickname for those of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The real name of our church focuses more on the reason and purpose of our worship by using the name of Jesus Christ in the title. Show more Show less
