Hi I'm Mike

I was born in Rigby Idaho.

About Me

I am a Dad with Two sons and a Daughter. I now have Nine beautiful Grand Babies. Eight are living and our little baby Drexel returned home to our Father in Heaven after Three short months here on earth. I have always loved sports. When I was younger I played all kinds of sports but loved Football and Basketball the most. I like to be around uplifting and positive people. I enjoy trying to increase my knowledge regarding life's lessons and being able to share what I have learned with people especially my family. I really believe you cannot give what you do not have. I know that in order to give more we must first become more. I have learned allot through out my life and have had some great teachers along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. As a young person I attended the basic meetings the church offered. My Mother and Dad encouraged me to go but they did not attend church themselves. I didin't really understand when I was younger why they did not attend church but wanted me to attend. I learned allot as a small boy about making good choices in my life, I had no idea that with the learned good choices it would bring good consiquenceses. Now I realize that these lessons have really helped me to see the big picture. I went through a time where I was not as active as I should have been and wondered about falling away. Even in these times I always knew the church was true. After being married and having Three kids it became more important for me to want to have a solid foundation based upon the teaching's of the church. I was still trying to get where I new I needed to be with my family but struggled. When my youngest son was 17 he developed a kidney problem. I was in Pureto Rico on a business trip when my wife called and said his kidneys were not working. She took him to the hospital and the doctors could not explain why. I prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked him to heal my son with the condition I would be dedicated to the church. Within Two weeks his kidneys were back to 100%. I have been committed ever since. I know the church is true. I know our Brother Jesus Christ lives and atoned for our sins. I know the church is lead by a modern day prophet, Thomas s. Monson.

How I live my faith

I have had lots of opportunities to serve in the church. I have served the Eight year olds teaching them on Sunday. I have also had the opportunity to serve in the Young Mens program ages Twelve to Eighteen. I was called to serve as a Bishop for nearly Seven years. I truly love serving all of my Brothers and Sisters. I have had several opportunities to serve people through out the United States. The hometeaching plan in the church gives us a great opportunity to serve others. I get to help organize and plan activities that help edify and uplife the people we serve as well as feeling great personally about serving others. I really enjoy serving the elderly people when I get a chance, although my dad was not an active member of the church he was a great example to me, he always served the elderly. I learned this as he was a great example to me about serving the elderly. I try to do the things my Father in Heaven would have me do, i'm so grateful to my Father in Heaven for all of the many blessings he has blessed me and my family with.
