Hi I'm Harrison.

I love Texas, sports, my wife and family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Junior, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. My wife recently graduated, and now works here at a global private intelligence company. We take full advantage of any live music or events in the city, and love to stay active. I currently work for ESPN's Longhorn Network, where I help in the production of various shows and events. I love sports, and have since I was little. I hope to produce feature stories for ESPN one day. Both my wife and I love our families. With both our immediate families close, we love to spend time with them. We like to stay fit, and you could find both of us on a nearby running trail.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness that it brings to my life personally, and to my family. I have found through studying the Book of Mormon, and the Bible, that the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter Day Saints, and what they teach, is true. I know those teachings to be true because I put every teaching to the test. I wanted to know that they were true for myself. As I lived these principles, I found that the initial promised blessings did happen.

How I live my faith

I served a two year mission in Mexico from 2007 to 2009. When I came back to Texas I wanted to continue improving on the Spanish language that I learned while in Mexico. I became active in the group of Hispanic members of the church that attend a service conducted in their language. I also met my who speaks Spanish, and when we got married we decided to permanently attend the Hispanic group of members for our weekly church service. I currently am a secretary for the local leadership of the church we attend. I help the bishop and his counselors run the ward smoothly, allowing every member to receive the attention that they need. In my assignment of secretary, I have the great opportunity to familiarize myself with almost everyone who attends church regularly. This allows me to form great friendships with those that belong to our ward. The group or ward that we meet with weekly is extremely close nit, and we feel very much like we belong to a family.
