Hi I'm Loraine

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a grandmother who just dearly loves her grandchildren. There is not anything I would not do for these precious children I call my grandchildren. I love to do quilting, sewing, reading, crossword puzzles and visiting with my family and friends. At the present time I am working with the younger children in the church and I enjoy these little ones very much. They are so delightful, so honest with their feelings, and their love for their Heavenly Father is such an example for me. I am also working two mornings each week in the Mesa Arizona Temple and that is such a blessing. My husband and I are retired school teachers and are enjoying our lives very much at the present time.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the LDS Church all of my life. When my maternal grandmother taught us in a church class for the first time about the Prophet Joseph Smith--I knew the minute I heard the story that is was true. I have never doubted my entire life that Joseph Smith saw God and his son, Jesus Christ, and that he restored Christ's true church back to the earth. The church has blessed my life my entire life. I have grown spiritually by participating in the church activities and meetings and have felt it such a privilege to serve others in the church as well as in the community. I know that God lives and is our Father, that Jesus Christ is God's son and is my elder brother. I know without any doubt that Christ will return to this earth and gather the elect to dwell with him forever. I am a member of the LDS faith because I know families can be sealed together as families in the temple and that our lives extend into the eternities. By knowing this truth I can cope with the trials of a troubled world.

How I live my faith

My faith is strong and I try daily to serve my fellow men. I love to cook meals, goodies and etc. for anyone I feel may need help, or a friendly gesture or just to let them know I care. I have a wonderful sister in the church who is my companion to monthly visit assigned sisters in our Ward. I also have sisters who come and visit with me. It is a strength to me to know members are caring for one another and each of us knows we have someone we can rely upon for help. I try to be a good community person by caring about my home and yard and trying to add beauty to our community. I always take the opportunity to study candidates in elections and vote for those who would help our area.
