Hi I'm JoLayne

I am the youngest of 7 children. My husband and I have 6 children. I live in Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Our family has has lived in Alaska for a year and we have really enjoyed the adventure! My husband and I have 6 children, but only 2 left at home. I love to travel, spend time with my husband and watch the children in their various sports an activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, and it has always been a great blessing in my life. I know that this is Jesus Christ's gospel, restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. Great blessings have come into my life from my membership in the LDS church. The church provides so many opportunities for service and gives support and guidance in raising children. Living the principles of the gospel makes life easier, brings me joy, and gives me a sure peace in a world of turmoil.

How I live my faith

One of the great benefits of being a member of the LDS church are the many opportunities to serve. I love to work with the youth (ages 12-18). Their strength and courage amazes me! I hope that I can be a tiny part of helping them navigate through the difficult teenage years. I have worked with the younger children (ages 3-11) and have seen their smiling faces as they sing songs about their Savior, their families, where they came from, and what they can someday become. I have worked with the adult women in the church, in the largest women's organization in the world, the Relief Society. I have been the recipient of their compassionate service through challenging times in my life and I have also had the opportunity to serve others in their time of need.
