Hi I'm Jessie

I'm a Mother. I Create. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of 6 years, a mother of 2 sweet miracle babies. I am a licensed Cosmetologist and Barber. I love to create things, especially for my kids. Being a mother is the greatest gift I have been given in this life, and although it has been a rough road to get my children here, I wouldn't change it for the world. I am a cancer survivor, a fiercely loyal friend, and I put my family above all else. Through my faith in Jesus Christ, I have been able to make it through many difficult trials, things I am certain I would not have survived physically or emotionally if it weren't for my faith. Since becoming a mother I have learned of Heavenly Father's love for me. I have a deeper understanding of his love for his children, and his plan for us. It truly is a plan of happiness. Just as I pray and hope for happiness for my children, He hopes for that for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned that we were not meant to go through this life alone. God has created families for us to learn with, grow with, and to strengthen us. I have found that I have a family that I was born into, a family that I married into, a family that I created, and a family of friends, many of whom share my faith. I am a Mormon because it helps me understand who I am, and my purpose in this life. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ, and I believe that through my faith in them, I can be with my family even after I die. This is especially important to me, my husband and I have lost 4 children, and the peace that I receive through my faith and knowledge in God's plan for us, helps take some of the ache out of my heart.

How I live my faith

I believe that we should not just live our faith on Sundays during church hours, but each and every day. I try to live my faith everyday, through kindness and understanding to those around me. I am involved in a program that provides humanitarian relief and aid for those in need in my community, and the world. Through monthly visits with women in my church, I help teach lessons on faith and love, and in the process gain friendship, and knowledge.

What is the Relief Society?

Jessie
Relief Society is a special organization meant just for women. Through it, we learn of our divine purpose as mothers and wives. We learn about how to strengthen our families, and how to have faith in our Lord and Savior. One of the most amazing things we learn in Relief Society is service. We are always doing activities to try and help those in need, and to help strengthen our community. We believe that part of our purpose as women is to help strengthen, support, and care for those who cannot do so themselves. Through Relief Society we learn how to live our faith, and how to become the best women that we can be. Show more Show less
