Hi I'm Gaylene

I love my family! They have been what I have focused my life on for the past 32 years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children. 4 girls and 1 boy. They are the joy of my life. I have enjoyed learning right along with them. Through the expereince of being a parent I have learned to develop many talents that I did not even know I had. I enjoy finding ways to stretch my budget. I really enjoyed encouraging my family to sew or make inexpensive Birthday and Christmas gifts. They have been quite creative. I have had the opportunity to teach a Seminary class (Scriptutre study class) every school morning at 6:00 A.M. My faith in my Savior has grown tremendously. I know that He knows each one of us personally and He does answer prayer. I am also now a grandmother of 13! I really enjoy being able to be part of these childrens lives. I am a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church since I was 8 years old. When I was 19 I was attending church and the the instructor of the class challenged us to read the entire Book of Mormon. I took that challenge to heart. I not only learned from the stories but I learned the principles of the Gospel taught by Jesus Christ as He visited the Americas shortly after his asscention into Heaven. I also put the challenge given in Moroni 10:3-5 to the test. I have definetly received the answer that the The Book of Mormon is truly scripture and meant for our day to help us give us the stregth to overcome challenges. When we use the stories as examples to help us in our day they truly become strengths. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth today because a young man sought answers from His Father in Heaven. How grateful I am that Joseph Smith had the courage and strength to do what he did.

How I live my faith

My greatest joy in serving in the Church is seeing the change that comes over a person as they learn and accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The joy in their contenance as they learn who they are, where we came from and what our purpose is here on the earth. They also learn where they go after this life and that we can still have an eternal family unit in Heaven. That we will know and love those that we knew and loved here on the earth. Both of my parents have passed away. I look forward to seeing and conversing with them again.
