Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for twenty years to my high school sweetheart. We have the blessing of raising four wonderful sons. Learning and growing through this life with my husband and our children is a gift for which I am truly grateful. I believe with all my soul that the organization of the family is the means by which are Father in Heaven desires to bless each one of his children. As foster parents we have seen first hand the devastating effect that the break down of the family unit imposes on the smallest and most vulnerable members of our society. I have also experienced the joy and strength that comes from being raised in a stable, loving Family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that it contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The same organization that Christ established during his mortal ministry has been restored to the earth. The same power and authority to act in the name of Christ that was given to the twelve apostles by Christ himself has been restored to the earth. It is through the keys of the priesthood that the Lord guides and directs the affairs of His church today just as He did in days of old. I am a Mormon because it is Christs church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving others. There are endless opportunities to serve in my family, at church and in our community. I truly love being a foster parent. I get the opportunity to wrap my arms and heart around these little ones and do what Christ would do if he were here. While on the earth Jesus counseled his disciples "suffer the little ones to come unto me". It has been my joy and pleasure to come to know how personally our Father in Heaven knows and loves each one of his children. As we welcome each little child into our home I get the wonderful opportunity to feel how important each one is to our Father in Heaven. I know for sure that the tender mercies of the Lord are extend to each one of His children. I love to serve others, it expands my ability to love and understand all of Gods children that I come in contact with.
