Hi I'm Robert

I'm a father to 11 children, a husband, active in scouting and youth programs, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I know... 11 children he must be a Mormon!! Well it did not start out that way. We originally wanted to have 4 children and being the over achievers that we are, we had 5. Just a few years ago my sister was diagnosed with cancer immediately after the birth of her last child. She passed quickly and subsequently we were able to adopt her youngest 6 children. We are very excited about having a big family and look forward to the many vacations we have in our 15 passenger van!

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon is very important to me. I am first and foremost a Christian. I believe in Christ. I know that He still lives and loves each of us. I am grateful that I am able to have this knowledge affirmed directly to me by the Holy Ghost. Recently I have had a greater appreciation for the Articles of Faith and the ability to share them with others so they can know more about my faith. The first article of faith states that "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." My favorite is the thirteenth article of faith which states: "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." I hope that all who are seeking the peace that can only come from our Father in Heaven will take an opportunity to listen to the message and then do as I have, pray about it to know if it is true. I promise you will feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost and it will affirm to you that what you are listening to is true. In the name of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first in my home. I am proud to spend time with my wonderful 11 children. We eat together, and pray together. I take time to talk with each of them individually so that they know that I am there for each of them in whatever capacity they may require. I recently have been called to work with the young men of the Ward specifically with the 12-13 year olds. I am grateful to have this time to work with them and get to know them. This is such an important time in their lives as many things are changing. I look forward to being a mentor and giving them the opportunity to be themselves and learn about the Savior and how to follow His teachings.
