Hi I'm Garrett

I'm currently a missionary in the southern states, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from southern california, and currently serving a mission. Served in the Georgia Macon Mission, and now currently serving in the Florida Tallahassee mission. Did a year and a half of college before the mission, still don't have a clue what I want to major in, probably business. I'm the youngest of 5 kids. Love sports, my friends, family, food, and of course the gospel. I love being outdoors, especially at the beach. Played 4 years of high school volleyball, loved it. I just enjoy having a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, and have always known or felt that's where I needed to be. I came to know the church was true over the years though, as I saw my Father in Heaven pour out blessings beyond belief to me in countless ways. I have been blessed with a great family who has taught me true christian values. As I read the Book of Mormon and gave myself to sincere prayer there was no denying The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church restored to earth through a prophet of God in these latter days. True happiness lies in the gospel of Jesus Christ and can enrich ones' life tremedously, as it has mine.

How I live my faith

Being a good example of a christian is the ultimate way to live or show my faith. Living my faith doesn't just mean to me being active in church by going to church every Sunday (which is important and I can't imagine my week without it), but also being active in the gospel. I love serving others in any small way I can throughout the week. In fact right now I am serving as a full time missionary for the Lord as well as for the people here in the south. There is no greater way to learn charity for everyone than to serve all those around. This experience has helped me realize the true importance of the gospel and how essential it is. There is nothing I'd rather be doing than sharing the message of the restored gospel to others.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Garrett
The answer is yes, we believe the Bible to be the word of God. It is without a doubt a witness of the divinity of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a missionary down in the Bible Belt of the States, I have come to a greater understanding and appreciation of this holy scripture and how it can help me in my own faith and life. Together with the Book of Mormon we can come to a clearer and greater understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can come to know all that Heavely Father requires of us, and all He has in store for us. Show more Show less
