Hi I'm Kaytlyn

I am a volunteer for The American Red Cross. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah for most of my life. I am the 10th of my parents 16 children. All of my siblings and I are from the same Mom and Dad. I love my family. I am a daughter, an older and younger sister, and an aunt to 6 nieces and 7 nephews. I am a Public Health major at Brigham Young University. My dream job would be to travel the world doing international humanitarian aid. I enjoy serving others. I love listening to and playing music. I have played the Tuba since I was in 6th grade and I learned how to play the piano, trombone, and baritone in High School. I am a huge fan of chocolate and desserts. I love scrapbooking, spending time with friends and family, playing sports, and learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. My grandparents on my Fathers side were converts to the church. My Mothers side of the family have been members for many generations. I have always loved being a member of the church. One of my favorite parts about the church is that there is a place for everyone. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, there is a place for you in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether it be a calling in the primary, young mens, relief society, a friendship or other relationhip. There are blessings and opportunities that you receive as a Mormon that you can't find anywhere else in the world. It has been such a blessing for me to grow up in the gospel. My testimony has been tested, tried, and strengthened. I know that this is the true and living gospel. I know that Joseph Smith is prophet, and that he truly saw our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. President Monson is our living prophet today and he leads and guides the church through revelation that he receives from Jesus Christ. I know that Christ lives. I know that he loves us perfectly and completely. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I have the opportunity to repent and try again to do better each day. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and knows me. I know that I can pray to him and receives answers to my prayers. The church is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in little actions every day. I love everyone that I come in contact with, and do my best to serve them. I have made a goal to let the light of Christ shine through me in everything that I do. I help to organize assignments at my church so that each of the women in our ward have the opportunity to visit another women so that we can grow closer as friends and neighbors. We check in on one another to make sure that we are each doing well and so that we can help those in need. I participate in church activites and community activities so that I can help serve all those I come in contact with.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Of course not! :) I am currently a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, USA. I am studying Public Health because I want to be able to help people. I would love to travel the world helping people of all beliefs and backgrounds live happier and healthier lives. I know that we are all children of God and I love any opportunity to serve.
