Hi I'm Sarrah Wilson

I grew up in California. I stay home with my five small children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am busy raising my five young children, which I enjoy very much. Teaching them and watching them grow, learn, and progress has brought me much joy and fulfillment. I am amazed at all the skills I am learning simply by taking care of my family--my precious children and wonderful husband. Although things like potty-training, taking kids to school, and reading children's stories takes up most of my time, I also love to play the piano. One of my favorite composers is Beethoven, among others. My husband likes to garden, so lately I've also enjoyed finding ways to use our vegetables. I've been making red and green salsa and pickles, as we've had a lot of success growing tomatoes and cucumbers. Lastly, I like creating photo books of our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in this church, and I have seen the good it has brought in my life and in the lives of others. It has brought me happiness and peace even in times of trials. I truly know in my heart that following the principles in this gospel will bring me, and all people, the greatest joy and fulfillment and ultimately, eternal life with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I love having the privilege of having the spirit and I strive to be worthy to have it with me always. I have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ our Redeemer, and that He, our Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost are separate, distinct beings. I know that President Monson is a true prophet and speaks for our Heavenly Father. I listen to his words often, along with the words of the apostles and other church leaders. In doing so, I find that my mind is enlightened and that I can more easily solve problems. I know that this is Jesus Christ's true church.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I live my faith is by dedicating my life to my family. I try to give support to my husband and teach my children the gospel and other good things that will help them lead successful, wholesome lives. I often play the piano or organ in church. I've taught the 11 and 12 year olds about the scriptures in Sunday School. In our church we have a program called "visiting teaching." It involves making monthly visits to 2 or 3 sisters we are assigned to. We check up on how they're doing, give them an uplifting spiritual message, and see what we can do to help them out. I try to help them by making meals for them when they need them, such as when they have a baby. I try to help others around me as well, by watching their kids for example. I also try to be friendly to other people and be patient and loving.
