Hi I'm Scott

I've done landscaping, been a deputy coroner, and now attend dental school as a married man with two kids. I am happy.

About Me

I have two kids with one on the way. I worked in a family business as a landscaper from the time I was 8. I had many other jobs before getting into dental school. I love to head up into the mountains and fish. Nothing quite like the outdoors where things are clean, quiet, and beautiful. I enjoy hard work as well. I feel it does something for my soul. Life as a dad and husband is what you make of it. I feel really happy with where my life is at and that has everything to do with the lessons learned and applied as a member of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because after all the many conversations about different beliefs I have had over the years nothing else I have seen or heard gives me the answers I need. Nothing else makes me feel peace the way I do when I strive to live these principles. It makes sense to my intellect, and at the same time I feel a conviction of its truth in my soul.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily study and application of the gospel principles. That is easily said, but many times it is difficult to do. I try to prioritize my life by not getting caught up in "the thick of thin things" which leaves time to better the most important parts of my life such as my spiritual development, spousal and family associations, and time to stop and think about who I am and what I am becoming. There may even be a little time for some college football. I try to ask myself if I am on the path I want to be and if not what can I do to get there. I feel that through this whole journey God is there to help you to become your best self if you will allow Him. I try to study, listen, and follow what I know and feel. That is how I live my faith.
