Hi I'm Hillary

I'm a full time mom to 7 kids and loving it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom with my seven kids. I have been able to stay at home with them and help them through their "growing up" phase in life. My oldest is 11 and my youngest is 2. Needless to say it can be pretty crazy at times, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We have learned to help each other out. They also have learned and are learning still how to get along with everyone. We have fun times together as a family, but we also work together too. I love having all my children around me and love that my husband has been willing to work and let me stay home with our children. It has been such a blessing in our lives to have such a loving father and husband who knows how much we need our mom to be at home. He also supports me in letting me go out with my friends and scrapbook. It is nice to get a break from the normal day to day things and it helps me have some time to my self. I am grateful for the lessons we are learning in our family and can't wait for the ones ahead.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a mormon my whole life. I have seen the happiness that being a member of the church has brough into my life. The things we are taught to do like pray, read our scripture, go to church, ect. have given me guidance in my life. As I have practice obedience I have received blessings. It has also keep me from making mistakes and making important decisions in my life as well. Having communication with my Heavenly Father is such a blessing in my life. I know he hears and answers my prayers. On more than one occation I have gone to my Heavenly Father with a question and it has been answered. I have also been able to go to the scriptures to recieve my answers as well. The things that are taught to me at church have been testified to me through the Holy Ghost on many occations as well. Whether it was in a testimony meeting or a lesson being taught and even through music that I have listened to as well. I have had a sense of peace as I have listened to things I have been taught and just know what I am hearing is true. I am also grateful for the knowledge of the Atonement. Through the atonement I can be forgiven when I make mistakes. I am grateful to my brother Jesus Christ who was willing to suffer and die for me and everyone in order that we may be forgiven when we make mistakes.

How I live my faith

In my ward I play the piano in the primary, which is the childrens gathering time. We teach the children songs about many of the things we believe in. A couple of years ago they taught the children the "articles of faith" to music. The articles of faith are 13 articles which state what we believe in our church. So the children were able to learn them through music. It was such a great way to teach them through songs what we believe. There are a lot of wonderful songs that we teach them throughout the year and then they are able to present them in a primary program at the end of the year. It is a wonderful way to show their parents what they have been learning and for them to be able to bare testimony of what they have learned. Having played the piano for many years I have gotten to play the music for different occations and I have a testimony of the power of song. It set the moode for a meeting or lesson to be taught and is a wonderful way to help us remember things we are taught.
