Hi I'm David Bean

I'm a Husband, Father of four, Grandfather of six. I love being with family, freinds and trips to the lake and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho to a family that enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and the outdoors which set my course in life. My love of the outdoors continues today and I have shared this love with my family. Over the years we as a family have enjoyed dirt bike riding, waterskiing, wake boarding, snow skiing, scuba diving, fishing trips to Alaska, quad riding at the dunes and camping with friends. I am an entrepreneur at heart who loves to building companies and loves the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and mostly took it for granted depended on the faith and testimony of my parents. During my first year at college I decided I really needed to know for myself if the Chrurch was true. I was attending a Church college in eastern Idaho and heard that the prophet was coming to speak at a devotional. I decided that I should go and listen, so I climbed high in the bleachers and observed the 1,000's of students crammed in the building to listen. There was the normal commotion of people talking, rustle of paper and shifting of chairs. Then all of a sudden the room got very quiet, so quiet that you could have heard a pin drop and I began to feel something that I can only describe as goosebumps. At first I thought maybe I was getting sick or something because I had never felt this way before. I could feel this sensation through my entire body. Just then the organ started to play a song called "We Thank Thee Oh God For a Phophet" and the audience began to sing, as I looked toward the stage the curtains began to part and I could see some chairs with the President of the College and the prophet setting next to him. All of a sudden I realized what I was feeling, it was the spirit and I recognized that I began to feel this sensation when he entered the room before I could even see him. I also realized that everyone around me was feeling the same thing. I listened intently to his words and heard him say that every young man should serve a mission. The goosebumps poored over me again, I had not planned on serving a mission - no desire and I was not even sure the Church was true until that moment. At the conclusion of the devotional I went to my appartment and knelt in prayer to ask my Father in Heaven if the Church was true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet. The goosebumps rolled over my body again and I realized that the Church was true and that I needed to read the Book of Mormon and prepare to serve a mission which I did. I know the Church is true!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to set a good example at all times. I try to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ. Over the years I have served as a Sunday School teacher for the youth of our Ward and I have been very involved in Scouting and working with young men. I have also served in numerious leadership postions over the years including leading an entire Ward/congregation. I have also been involved in various community groups including as a board member of the Arizona Management Association.
