Hi I'm Jeff

I enjoy motocross, working with wood, investing, fixing almost anything, I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love fixing things. I have always had an interest in how things work. I enjoy wood working and have made a lot of our kitchen cabinets, and furniture in our home. I enjoy drag racing, motocross, and supercross. Essentially anything with an engine will catch my attention. I have a Jeep that I have modified to go off road, and I really enjoy going off into the mountains. I enjoy hiking and being in the woods. I grew up around the ocean and the sounds of the ocean have always brought great peace to me. I am retired and love the freedom that brings. I worked for a large multi-national corporation with my expertise in finance. I have 4 children and 5 grandchildren and love spending time with them. The grandchildren call me PaPa (which I love).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as an Episcopalian. I converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 19. I had a spiritual experience that brought great peace to me as I studied and prayed about the church. That was decades ago, but as I have continued to live the teachings of the gospel, I have continued to find great joy, comfort, and confidence. Life can be such a challenge at times. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much, and has restored his true church to the earth. I find great reassurance in knowing that we have a true prophet of God on the earth today to help us. When I was first exposed to the Church, I was intrigued with the clarity it provided regarding the purpose of life. I had always been a "good" kid, but really was wondering how to make sense of this earth life. As I learned more, it became so clear to me what God's plan is for us. Having that knowledge has helped me tremendously especially during hard times. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and what he has done for all of us. We have such a loving Heavenly Father that wants us to learn and grow. Being a Mormon has helped me to have a wonderful life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by applying the principles of the gospel in my daily life. Since we were married over 30 years ago, my wife and I have always set aside Monday evenings to focus on our family. Doing so has help to build a wonderful family relationships with our kids that has served us throughout our married life. It has made it much easier to raise our kids as we had built such a good foundation of trust, love, and fun. I pray and read the scriptures daily. My wife and I read and pray together each day. In everything I do, I try to think "what would Jesus do". I really try to serve others and be a great neighbor. I try to be 100% honest in the things I do. I want everyone I associate with to feel I have integrity and that I can be trusted to do the right thing. I really focus on my family. Even though my kids are adults, I continue to love building on the relationship we have, and continuing that relationship with their children. I think grandparents can do much to support their own children and their families. In essence I try live a life that would be pleasing to my Savior Jesus Christ.
