Hi I'm Summer

Wife and mother of 3 beautiful children. I work part time as a Dental Hygienist. I am finding joy in the journey. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost I am a mother. We have been blessed with 3 beautiful children. I am reminded daily of the blessings that have come to my life through the lives of our children. Family is the most important thing to me. I believe it is so important to live a life full of joy. For me, that joy is found though the gospel, and family. I work part time as a dental hygienist and love that too! My other recent hobby is trying out new recipes. My husband definitely benefits from that hobby, but asks when I will make some of the things that he already knows that he likes. He just doesn't understand there are just too many recipes and not enough time! My motto is Finding Joy in the Journey, and I am doing what I can to find joy through the easy times as well as our trials!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my entire life. I was raised in a home that taught me the gospel, and to love my Savior. I was taught to do what was right, always. I was part of a loving family that has always been there to support each other. My life was filled with great examples of how I wanted my own family to be. As I have come upon stumbling blocks in my life, my Savior has been there to help me up. I have gotten to points where I felt alone and abandoned, but soon came to realize that I couldn't have been more wrong. My trials have made me stronger. My trials have only helped me to become a more caring, more faithful and more willing to serve others. I continue to live as faithful as I can so that I can create the kind of loving home that I was given. I want my children to come to understand that they are children of God, and through that knowledge they will learn to love themselves and others in the way that Christ set the example. Through the death of our second child, I had moments of despair and self doubt. Some days the pain was almost more than I could bear. Today, I look back on that time to see the amazing miracles and blessings that have come. I know more today than ever before, just how much my Father in Heaven loves me! The gospel gives my life meaning and direction, and for that I am so grateful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of Christ. I know that there is so much good, and joy to be had in this life, if we will just live our lives as we are taught. The most pure joy that I have ever experienced has been when I have been faithful. I am also so blessed to work with the young women in your ward. They are so vibrant and full of life. I thoroughly enjoy the moments that we share and the many things that they have taught me over the years.
