Hi I'm Amy!

I love being a mom. I am a native Arizonan. And I am happy to be a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Amy! And I am so grateful that I am a Mormon! I spend most of my time enjoying life with my four spunky kiddos and my husband of 8 adventure-filled years. When I have a spare moment to myself I usually fill it with reading, running, or trying the newest most calorie-rific recipe I can find! Sometimes I feel like Jo March in Little Women when she says, "I would have made a great many things". I know that I could have chosen a lot of different paths in life and may have even been successful in them! But I am so grateful that I have chosen the path of motherhood and I could not be any more sure that it is the best decision I have ever made. Plus, as a mom I get to do a little bit of everything: chef, interior decorator, nurse, (super)nanny, landscaper, teacher, and on and on. And although my life is far from perfect, if you were to ask me, I'd say that I got a pretty good thing going on.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon and having the knowledge of Jesus Christ's true gospel on this earth is everything to me. The constant comfort and guidance that I have knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me personally and loves me is the greatest blessing! I know that Jesus Christ is my true Savior and Redeemer, and that through Him it is possible to return to our heavenly home after this earthly life has ended. I have had challenges, temptations, and failures in my life, and I am so grateful to have had the Gospel of Jesus Christ to lift me and carry me through them as long as I will exercise my faith in it. Being a Mormon allows me stay on the path that I know will lead me to eternal happiness and home to my Father in Heaven. My family is my most valuable blessing and I am so grateful that it is one of the key focuses of the Gospel. I spent my whole life preparing to be worthy to enter into the House of the Lord here on earth, the LDS Temple. Each time I go there, inside or out, I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior and leave with a renewed love and dedication to them, to my role as a wife and mother, and to my family. I follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that I can have the eternal family that I so dearly desire. Being a Mormon gives me peace, joy, encouragement, comfort, and conviction that I am a child of our Heavenly Father, and that He wants nothing more than for all of His children to find happiness on this earth and to return to Him again!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service! I love that by being a Mormon I am given so many opportunities to serve, and that when I engage in those oppurtunities I am the one most blessed by them! I can honestly say that as I have served with MUCH trust, prayer, faith and dilligence I have been lifted (and sometimes carried!) by the Lord to serve those that He loves and cares for. By serving, it has shown me that the Lord loves us all as His little children, and that we are all so special to Him. As we strive to do what He asks of us, even when what we are asked to do may seem impossible, He will support us and mold us into the person that He knows we can become! It is amazing to me that as we do the service that the Lord asks us to do, we are the ones that He blesses the most! WOW!!

What do Mormons believe about family?

Amy!
The family is EVERYTHING!! We are so blessed to each have our own family untis here on this earth. Now every family isn't perfect, that's for sure! And most are far from - like mine! But as we strive to keep our family filled with happiness, love, forgiveness, and understanding, we come closer together and closer to our Heavenly Father. Life can be hard, frustrating, lonely, and so on... but that's why having a family as our own personal support system here on this earth can be such a great thing!! Back in 1995 the leaders of our church came out with an official statement on the family titled, "The Family: A Proclamation to the World". It is a wonderful and perfect explanation of what our faith believes families can and should be! I love reading it every so often to remind me what a positive and important part of our lives families are. It is a quick, uplifting and informative message and I highly recommend it to any and everyone! Show more Show less
