Hi I'm Shellie

I love being a Mom. I love spending time with my family, reading good books, walking and spending time outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved being a Mom and really really love being a Grandma. I like simple things. I like being outside, going to the beach, power walking and finding a great read that I can totally escape with. I enjoy learning new things and meeting new people. In the last several years I have really enjoyed traveling. I always have the next trip in the works to look forward to.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is easy for me. I love our Heavenly Father and I know he loves me. I love his son, Jesus Christ. I see their hand in everything. I try to follow his example in all I do. I know that he knows me and loves and wants me to be happy. I know that because of his atonement I can be better than I could over be on my own. I am happy and I know it comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the sweet whispersings of the spirit that help guide my life. I have also found the courage I need to face difficulties when I kneel down in prayer and talk to Heavenly Father. I know he hears and answers my prayers. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to be a good person in my community and with all the people I come in contact with. I love my associations with women in our church. They have taught me how to be a better person. The gospel of Jesus Christ blesses my life.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Shellie
One of the greatest blessings I receive from reading the Book of Mormon and other scriptures is that through reading, studying and pondering it helps me draw closer to Christ. When I read it helps me know the things I need to pray for. When I read the Book of Mormon it helps me be a better wife and mother. I learn things that help me in my daily life to be a little kinder, a little more patient and a litte more tolerant. Most importantly, when I read I feel the love that my Heavenly Father has for all of his children. Show more Show less
