Hi I'm Mike

I'm a native of Phoenix and I'm glad I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 5 and have a cute 2 year old grandson. My kids and I enjoy the outdoors - camping, 4-wheeling or just getting together to eat. I love it when we all get together and just hang-out, telling stories and talking together. I also love all sorts of technology and helping others get the most from it.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom and dad raised me as a Mormon and although I've been unaware of how others live their lives outside of the church, I really appreciate the blessings the gospel of Jesus Christ and how his teachings have united 3 generation of my family with love, service, respect and unity. It's been such a blessing in my live to have been loved so much (and unconditionally) by my parents and siblings, and now I'm seeing that happiness and closeness in my children's lives. The more I learn about the church, the more I appreciate all that it does to teach love and bring kindness to others - just as Jesus would want us to. But one of the most important things I appreciate as a Mormon is the leadership of our church receiving direction from devine inspiration. And we receive it on a daily basis from our Father in Heaven through the power of His Holy Priesthood and additional revealed scripture. Our church is a LIVING church - one that receives continued instruction and direction from God through the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. It's just one more way that Christ shows how much he loves us and teaches us how to find true happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

I start each day by reading a chapter or two from Holy Scripture in the Bible, the Book of Mormon or other revealed scripture. Reading the words and lessons of ancient prophets helps me feel closer to Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father and my understanding of Christ's gospel increases. I feel closer to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ by reading and trying to live their teachings. I also pray daily. My wife and I take turns praying in the morning and when we do, we feel a better spirit in our home and both feel greater love and appreciation for each other. This helps us to meet the daily challenges of life.
