Hi I'm Claudia

I'm a Mormon. I'm in Omaha,NE. I love to quilt, garden, cook and read. I am married to the greatest man on earth.

About Me

I am a wife, mom, and grandma. I love to sew, quilt, garden, read, have family over as much as I can. I love to travel with my husband. We have been many places around the world. We are anxious to serve a mission in a few years when my husband retires. I love to help people.

Why I am a Mormon

I call myself a "born again mormon". My parents joined the church when I was a child. Pretty interesting since my father was Jewish and actually raised in Salt Lake City. We were inactive while I was growing up, but when I was married and had a child I was looking for some way to teach him about Jesus Christ. I decided to try the Mormon Church since I attended it as a child. I walked into the chapel and knew I was "home". "Born Again". Back in the fold. Husbands had their arms around their wives. That was for me! I love this Church! I love the Savior! I know, through prayer and the Holy Ghost, that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that we have a living prophet guiding this church. What peace that brings to my heart. There is such joy in living this gospel. It gives us the foundation we need to get through the hard times that come to everyone. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. I know I am of worth because I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I will be going. I love the knowledge that I can be with my family forever. I have been active ever since I attended that first time in 1970. What a blessing it is to me to have this knowledge. My husband and I can't wait to serve a mission!

How I live my faith

I love serving others. This church has many opportunities for doing just that. I worked with young women for 15 years straight a while ago. I love the youth. These last 2 years I cooked for 180 teenage girls for a week at girls camp. I was a "Gourmet Granny". I have been in the childrens organization many times, and I currently serve as media specialist training others in public affairs in a large area. I submit articles to our metro newspaper for our church. I also serve as the secretary for our women's organization in our congregation. Once a month I visit a couple of women. One is a 42yr old woman who is wheelchair bound and living in a nursing home. She has dementia but is a joy to visit with. My husband and I serve in the LDS Temple in our area. This is a special calling to us. I love to talk about our gospel with others. I have some good friends who are not members of the church and I love to share my testimony with them. They have become defenders of our faith. I am a member of a small hand quilting group that meets once a month. We have often donated quilts to charitable organizations.
