Hi I'm Rachel

Ten years ago, my favorite job was being a Flight Attendant. Now it's being a mom. I'm am divorced and in school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been divorced for almost three years. I am going back to school so I can provide financially for my children. In addition to playing with my kids and laughing so hard my face hurts, I decorate wedding cakes with my sister and mom who live in my ward. I have a lot of family nearby and am so grateful for their sacrifice and support on my behalf. I love to travel, scuba dive, eat delicious food, go to the movies, laugh with my kids, and hang out with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings such peace and happiness to my life. When things get emotionally hard, I know I can pray to my Heavenly Father for comfort. These sweet blessings of strength and comfort come immediately and I know I can keep moving forward. I would not be able to raise my three young children on my own without the tender mercies and blessings from my Heavenly Father. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth. I know we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, to guide us in the gospel. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God who translated the Book of Mormon. I am truly grateful for my membership in this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by praying with my Heavenly Father. I express my concerns, problems, feelings, and most importantly, I thank Him for all my many blessings. I read my scriptures. I attend my church meetings. I avoid inappropriate situations like bars, nightclubs, and movies. I maintain relationships and friendships with people who have the same values and standards as myself. I do acts of service for others.
