Hi I'm Dobbin

I'm a Mormon. I work for the Post Office as a city carrier. My wife and I have four great kids, three we adopted. Life is great!

About Me

I love to do geneology, my grandma got me stated many years ago as a youth. Love music, it is my release at times, or just to calm be down after a bad day. I am a father of four children, three we adopted. I also am a Webelos leader, this keeps me busy, but I love learning new things with the youth. My new love (again) is having Mate, a drink I loved while I was in Argentina, serving as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was rasied a member this church. We all have to go through our conversion to really know if The Church of Jesus Chirst of Later Day Saints is true. I went through this during my teenage years. I did not have a vision or see an angel. It really is simpel, one night after a hard day for me, I just needed to know for myself if the gospel is true. I had been pondering and studing to find out the trueth. So I just knelt one night and asked the Lord to let me know once and for all. It was not right away, but I did feel a warmth in my heart and body, I knew then and have always known this is were I belong. The many blessings that I and my family have receved over the years are just another testiment God loves us all. I am so happy that my Father in Heaven aswered my prayer so long ago, it has not been easy, at times life is really difficult and down right hard. Yet, I still believe, I have to keep my faith. I want all his wonderfull blessings for me and my family when we return home to him.

How I live my faith

I help the youth by being a Webelos Leader. I help teach the ten and eleven year old boys in our troop. This is a blessing and a challenge at times. I help visit two families of our Ward and check to make sure they are doing fine. In these trying times it is humbling to ask these families if they have food, are they able to pay their bills. This is what I feel Christ would be doing if he were here. I bring a message with me from The Ensign, a magazine from The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In the end, we all help each other grow and feel the love of our Savior and his Heavenly Father.
