Hi I'm Tisha Marsh

I'm a Colorado girl. I'm a mom to twin 4-year-old boys and a -year-old boy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I wasn't born here, but I don't remember growing up anywhere except for Colorado. I went away for college, but now I'm back with my little family of boys. I have a husband and 3 cute sons (twin 4-year-olds and a baby). There is never a dull moment at our house. I love to be with my sons. I love to cook, bake, read, exercise, make photo DVD's, listen to music and spend time with my family. I am currently on an indoor soccer team. I also make time for book club, a baking night once a month with friends from high school, and a weekly date night swap with a few other young families. As a high school student I was active in sports, but my love was competitive speaking (Forensics). I was the Colorado state champion in National Extemperaneous Speaking. I also won the Colorado Voice of Democracy contest sponsored by the VFW and got to meet with President George W. Bush. Those things were fun, but I have an even better time now using my voice to read to my boys. I majored in Public Relations in college and enjoyed working in that field. When my children are older I am looking foward to using my PR skills to get involved with a charity and do pro-bono work for them. Right now I am looking for the right cause.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because in my heart I know it's true. The truths I know allow me to be happy and have hope in a world that is full of sadness and tragedy. I am not afraid to die or go through hard times. I know this life on earth is only part of an eternal life. I'm Mormon because being Mormon gives me so much directon in my life. I know where I came from, what I am here for, and where I am going next. I have a family wherever I go in the world. The church offers friendship and support in every corner of the earth. I'm a Mormon because I have access to modern day prophets and personal revelation. I can pray and speak to Heavenly Father. He can give me direction in my life. He can comfort me in my times of need. I'm Mormon because I want to be with my family forever. I was married for time and eternity. Death will not sever my family. I'm Mormon because I know Jesus Christ lives and loves me. I know this is his church and is the best way to get close to Jesus and do what he would have me do.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of everything I do. It colors all of my thoughts and actions. It also gives me a few jobs. On Sundays I teach young children (4 and 5-year-olds) about the gospel. I teach them scripture stories and how to choose the right. I help them learn songs and pray. I teach them how much they are loved. I am also a visiting teacher. I get to visit a few women each month and share a short message from our church leaders. I also try to see if they need any help in their life and do what I can to help them (give them rides, provide meals if they have surgeries, etc). The church also gives me lots of opportunities to serve. When someone in our congregation needs help I am given the opporunity to bring them meals, babysit their children, and serve them in other ways.
