Hi I'm Alicia

I am a single mum. I teach kids with special needs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of 5 and we were taught christian values. When i was in high school i met some Mormon's and i started to learn about their faith. When i was 18 years old i joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - The best choice i have ever made! Now, I am a mother of two children. My daughter was born with a physical disability and has had many hurdles to overcome in her life. My son also has some special needs too, but together we have the best of fun! My family are the most important thing to me and being a mum is such a great blessing. I have also studied at university since my children were young to become a qualified special education teacher. I now work part-time in a local special school for students with intellectual impairments.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because i just know in my heart that it is true! Growing up without the gospel in my life, I feel so blessed to have found it. When i learnt about the principles of the Church they just seemed to make sense. I know where i came from, why i am here and where i am going. In this Gospel I can have the Holy Ghost as my companion to comfort and guide me, and this is the most precious thing to me that i would never want to be without. Being a Mormon brings so much happiness to my life because I know that God wants the best for me and through prayer he will help me achieve anything!

How I live my faith

I try to live the Gospel the best i can because it brings true happiness in my life. I teach my children about Jesus Christ and how we can be like him. I look for opportunities to help others in my community when I can and just be a good friend. I attend Church meetings every Sunday and I am the Secretary for the primary children's Sunday School program.
