Hi I'm James

I'm a husband. a father, a disciple of Christ, an engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I became introduced to the church through the Boy Scouts of America, when my family moved from California to Washington State. The LDS troop was the only one in town. I even met my wife at Mutual (as it was called back then). I have been involved in scouting ever since. Over the years I have had the opportunity to take all seven of my sons to summer camp and act as their Scout Master. The summer of 2011 was special because I had the was able to take my oldest grandson son to summer camp. Even though I am an engineer my favorite thing to do is teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve in the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I have join the church, it has brought me blessing beyond my ability to explain. It has brought me my wife, who I will be with for all eternity. It has given purpose to my life. Being a Mormon has brought me to the service of others and the love for those whom I have served. But most of all being a Mormon has brought me to an understanding of the love of our savior Jesus Christ and for the mercy and grace of the atonement.

How I live my faith

Except for the blessing of my family, the opportunities I have had to serve in the church have brought me the greatest blessing from the Lord. Teaching kids is among the greatest of these blessing. I have been blessed with teaching kids as young as three, but I am currently teaching the group of high priest, which are generally men over 50. My Wife and I have been serving in the temple for about 9 months now and I have grained a much better understanding of the love our Heavenly Father has for all his children, no matter when they served their probation on earth - past, present, and future.
