Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I earned a bachelors degree in Biology, but have returned as a nursing student aspiring to work in an emergency department as a nurse practitioner caring for trauma patients. I've been married for 6 1/2 years and am still awaiting children. We own a cat named Pedro. I love to try new things and learn new skills. I've discovered that I'm pretty good at waterskiing, but have no business on a motorcycle. I LOVE to go rappelling, and have been doing so since I was 8 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS family and taught the gospel my whole life. When I was about 17, I decided I needed to know for myself if the LDS church was the Lord's church. I had an experience through which I cannot deny the truthfulness of the church and the gospel. I know that God and his son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and called him to be a prophet, translate the Book of Mormon and establish His church once again on the earth. I love the simplicity of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday that I can. (I work in healthcare and cannot have every Sunday off) I currently serve as a home teacher in my ward, and visit 3 families each month. Previously I have served in the Scouting program, and in leadership for Sunday School. I was also briefly a young men's basketball coach.
