Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have one child (so far). I enjoy sports and outdoor activities, especially when I can be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. My dad was a convert and my mother's family was less active. Our family always attended church and allowed me to learn the Gospel. Through following the teachings and lessons I was taught, I developed my own testimony of the Savior. I was blessed to be able to serve a mission and really develop a deeper love for the Gospel and serving others.

How I live my faith

I feel it is important to live the teachings of the Gospel by practicing the basic principles that the Savior taught. I try to avoid judging others, love my neighbors, love the Savior and follow His example. I enjoy visiting families to share a gospel message and learn more about them.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Matt
This is based on the commandment and law of paying tithes. God has always asked that his followers contribute to the church to help the church function and grow. By contributing to the church it helps me to remember that money is not the most important thing in life and it also makes me feel good that I can help pay for the buildings we meet in, materials used and to help those in need.
