Hi I'm John

I grew up in Spokane Washington and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 19 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent four and a half years in the United States Air Force before deciding to get out and begin my career working for the United States Postal Service. I love my family and enjoy doing things with them. I especially enjoy doing outdoors things such as camping, fishing, hiking, ect. I enjoy projects and activities, such as working on my home or yard or creating gourmet meals when camping, that include those family and friends that I spend time with . Families ARE forever and anything I can do with or for my family is GREAT! I have been married to my eternal sweetheart for over 33 years and we have 2 wonderful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in Christ, what he stands for, how the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is centered around Christ and is organized as it was when Christ was on earth. When I was introduced to the church I felt the spirit testify of the truth of the gospel principals taught by the Mormon missionaries and continue to feel that burning testimony of the spirit daily. I believe in the family unit and the correct principals taught by the church. I'm a Mormon because everything in the church is Christ centered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others in my ward and community. I currently teach a sunday school class of 16 & 17 year olds. I am willing to serve however needed when asked by my ward leadership. I do things with my family such as family home evening on Monday's when we may do a family activity or have a lesson about some aspect of the gospel. I also live my faith by saying prayers together every day with my family. We do things together as a family and spend time together. As a family we avoid movies or TV shows that are rated R or higher and sometimes even avoid PG-13 movies/shows because the content is inappropriate for the family and provide a negative impact.
