Hi I'm Kiffon

I live in CO. I am a mother of 5. I am married to my best friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to one amazing man and am the mother of 5 energetic kids. It feels like a three ring circus around here sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my family and am so grateful to have them in my life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, quilting, making skirts for my girls, cooking, and baking. One of my favorite things to do on Sundays is make a big batch of chocolate chip cookies and then deliver most of them to neighbors as a family. I enjoy serving and doing things to make others happy. What I enjoy most though is being with my family and spending time with them. We are blessed to live close to both mine and my husband's parents. I love that we get to spend so much time with them. My kids are so lucky to have the added support and love they get from their grandparents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, as were many generations of my ancestors before me, but continuing to be a Mormon has been my choice. I continue to be a Mormon for so many reasons. One of the most important to me is the knowledge I have that families can be together forever. 10 years ago my father died very unexpectedly. And more recently, my nephew died this past spring at the age of 18, also unexpectedly. Knowing that I can see and be with them again, (as well as other loved ones that have passed on from this life) is what has helped me to get through these very difficult times. I also know that I can be with my husband and children forever. Our marriage is not "until death do you part". It is forever and eternal. I am so grateful for this knowledge. I know that God has given us prophets in our time to help lead and guide us through this life, and that the things the prophet teaches come from God. I know that when we pray, God hears and answers our prayers. I know that he knows each of his children individually and that he loves every one of us. I know that he wants each of his children to return to him and that is why he sent a Savior to atone for our sins and die for us. I know that Christ lives and loves us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to follow in Christ's footsteps by serving and loving others. I feel like my day is incomplete if I haven't done something to help someone else. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but as long as I know I did something, then I feel better about how my day went. I also serve in my church by organizing lessons and activities for the girls 8-12 years old on a week night every other week. I work with another leader and together we teach the girls life skills, how to serve, and about the gospel, to name a few things. I just love these wonderful girls. They are so full of life and are so excited about everything! I am so grateful for opportunities to help and serve other. I know that by doing these things, it is helping me to be more Christ-like.
