Hi I'm Mikal

I'm a husband, father, and business systems analyst. I love to play sports, games, and travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ. I had great parents, friends, and youth leaders that led me to success in life. I'm an Eagle Scout. I served a mission in Ohio. I met my wife at BYU. We have a beautiful daughter. I love to play sports and games with friends and familiy. I enjoy good music and cinema. My wife and I love to travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I've chosen to be a member of Christ's Church because it is led by His living Prophet and Apostles who administer the authority neccessary to receive all the saving ordinances in the temple, including sealing the family unit together throughout all eternity in the Celestial Kingdom of Heaven. Modern revelation though prophets, scripture, and personal revelation through the Holy Spirit allows God to continue to communicate to his children on a worldwide and unified basis. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ to go along with the Bible. Both books are true and supplement one another. Joseph Smith was a true prophet and was appointed by God to restore His Church to the earth after it had been lost for centuries. This is a heavy claim. However, if the Book of Mormon is true, then Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is also true. Read the Book of Mormon, then ask God through prayer if it is scripture. Only then will you know for yourself, because your answer will come from God, the source of all truth.

How I live my faith

Currently I serve in a presidency over the men of our congregation. I spend many volunteer hours outside of Sundays to serve and watch over several families in the community. In my own family we set aside one night a week for family night to pray, sing, read scripture, and play games together. My wife and I attend the temple as often as we can to renew our sacred covenants with God and be educated on things of an eternal nature. I also help organize sporting events to stay in shape and socialize.
