Hi I'm Jessica

I was born and raised in the United States of America. I am a stay at home mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My identical twin sister and I are BYU babies. I come from a strong LDS background. My father is a life-long member of the church, and my mother is a convert. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. I was involved in cheerleading in junior high, high school, and college. I love music, and I love to sing. In my spare time, my favorite thing to do is read. I met my husband while I was in college, and we were sealed in the temple a little over a year later. My life is devoted to raising my four boys and being a companion to my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by devout, righteous parents. As I grew up, we always had family scripture study and prayer in the morning before my dad left for work. When he got home, we gathered for family prayer again. We attended church every Sunday and gathered as a family on Sunday evenings to play games, calendar upcoming events family outings, and to have a spiritual lesson. We spent a lot of time together as a family. My parents were constantly serving in the church, and I learned early on the importance of service. There is no better way to demonstrate love and gratitude to our Heavenly Father than by serving His children. So, the foundation of my testimony was built from growing up in a loving, Christ-centered home. As a young adult living away from home, I had to make a choice on whether or not I was going to live the gospel. I am grateful every day that I chose to remain on the path that leads to true happiness. My testimony has become strong on its own, independent of others' testimonies. My husband and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the temple. Knowing that my earthly family will be together forever, if we live righteously, gives me great peace and comfort. Trials and struggles have definitely come into my life, but because I have the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have hope. I know that the Savior has suffered for my sins, has felt my pain, and understands perfectly my sorrows and worries. We have a living prophet who gives us great wisdom and council and leads the church under the direction of the Savior. I am grateful for the blessing of the Book of Mormon; a perfect book that testifies of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ has truly been restored to the earth, through the prophet Joseph Smith, and I feel so blessed to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I keep very busy right now working with some of the best youth in the world! I get to teach and serve them on Sundays and throughout the week, and I try to always be a good example to them. As I come into contact with different people during the day, I try to be kind and helpful. I teach my children the importance of gospel principles, such as honesty, gratitude, forgiveness, and service. It is important to me that they see me trying live a Christlike life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is more than a religion; it is truly a way of life. It is not only a part of who I am; it is who I am.
