Hi I'm Lou (Ludwig)

I grew up on the island of Java, Indonesia. After WWII I moved to The Netherlands. I'm married for 49 years. I'm a MORMON

About Me

I'm married for 49 years and have 2 children and 12 grandchildren. I'm a retired database manager and software engineer. I'm a ham radio operator. I like gardening and growing roses. My wife and I are currently working in the Mesa Temple as ordinance workers. There is nothing secret about our temples, but the work thererin is sacred to us. Now that I'm retired, I can fully dedicate my time to my family and grandkids. I like interacting with my grandkids and try to know everything they are interested in. I'm a grandpa and a great grandpa and I am proud of that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was originally brought up in the Catholic church, but was looking for something else. When the missionaries came to out door, I initially was very sceptical about the Mormon church. One day I met the then prophet of the church, Spencer W. Kimball. I shook his hand and he talked to me. Although I was very sceptical about the church, the Holy Spirit convinced me then and there that the man, I just shook hands with, was trully a prophet of the God. I got baptized and have never, never regretted my decission. Matter of fact, since I was baptized, my life really began for me. I love my Heavenly Father and my best friend Jesus Christ. I will do everything to please them.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best person I can be. I try to be a good husband, father and grandfather. I have a calling in my ward as one of the ward gynealogy persons, helping ward members to do their gynealogy. I am a temple ordinance worker and enjoying that very much. I am a hometeacher for 3 families and visit them every month to see how they are doing. I am a father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

What is the priesthood?

Lou (Ludwig)
The priesthood is the authority to act and speak in God's name. This is the same priesthood that existed in the original church established by Jesus Christ and is restored in the latter days. Show more Show less
