Hi I'm David

I am a father, husband, accountant, volunteer, man of faith and a child of God. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of a senior in high school and have been married for over 19 years. My family is the most important thing in my life. I work in the real estate field as a CPA and have enjoyed working for many large public and private international companies as well as small boutique firms. I enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, biking and camping. I am very active volunteer in the Boy Scout program and enjoy mentoring both youth and adults. In enjoy travel and experiencing other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church by virtue of both my parents being members. My family history can be traced back to the Mormon pioneers anf beyond throughout Europe. Even though I was blessed with this rich heritage, I like many others, have had to find out for my self whether or not the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are true. As the scriptures direct in John 7:17, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself". I have followed my Savior's example. I have put Moroni's promise to the test and have asked my Heavenly Father if these things are true. I received my answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ and have found that it works hand in hand with the Bible. Knowing that God is the same yesterday, today and forever gives great meaning to my life. Having a Prophet of God to guide me and to provide revelation to the Church is a wonderful blessing. The knowledge that my Heavenly Father knows me personally, that he hears and answers my prayers, and that my Savior Jesus Christ died for me provides not only comfort but a purpose and a standard by which I live my life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is not difficult for me to do. I am proud of who I am; a son of a loving Heavenly Father. My peers and friends know that I am a Mormon. They are not only supportive of me and my beliefs, but inquire often about what is going on in my life, family and in the Church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not just a Sunday religion. It is a roadmap of daily life. I believe in following the teachings of Christ to the best of my understanding and ability. When I falter, I know that my Savior has provided a way for me to be forgiven by way of his infinite atonement. Working to help build up the kingdom of God on earth is what gives my life meaning. Knowing that I can return to live my Heavenly Father once again, with my family, is what keeps me going.
