Hi I'm Sandie

I grew up in Germany, I have 7 children and 10 grandchildren, I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a counselor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, cook, travel, and I love to play with my grandchildren. I especially love to travel. I have Master’s of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. I have lived all over the United State and Europe, my father was in the military, and my husband was too. I love seeing new places and learning new cultures. One of the most important hats I wear now is that of a mother/grandmother to three of my grandchildren. Several years ago my husband and I were privilaged enough to gain custody of three of our grandchildren. We recently have adopted them. They have been such joy in my life. I cannot begin to compare it to anything I have known. They have the light of Christ in their eyes, and they have blessed my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I had gone to church off and on since I was four, because neighbors would pick me and my older sister up to go with them. When I was 13 years old, I had been attending the Mormon Church for about a year when I started to take the missionary discussions. My father is a Mormon, my mother is not. I was baptized when I was 13 and that was the first day of my new life. I am so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and being part of His church. My life is so different from where it could have been, and I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have that I am a daughter of God who loves me. He is my beacon in my life; I love that I can be a powerful example to my friends and family. I am a daughter of God, and I cannot think of anything more important than knowing that I am His Daughter and my life is of worth. When I joined the church I found something that resonated in my soul, I could not deny what I felt, or what I believed. Since then I have found great comfort in my pioneer heritage, as well as my association with people who believed as I do!

How I live my faith

I try each day to be a better person than I was the day before. I live my faith by living by its teachings. I love to be part of an organization that is people oriented. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I love being able to be part of the women of my church and fellowship with them, so that I can get to know these beautiful women. I am a friend to my neighbors and show them my faith by my example to them.
