Hi I'm Jolena

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a convert to the church. I joined the church when I was 13 along with my mom and step-dad. I'm married to my best friend/eternal companion and I have four awesome kids. I love interior design, cooking, and being outdoors. I swing kettlebell and I love to bike.

Why I am a Mormon

I knew from a very young age that Heavenly Father had a specific purpose for me. When investigating the church, I knew very quickly that this was right and true! My level of understanding the principles of the gospel came easily. It just all made sense! To this day, whenever I have a question, the Lord so beautifully and succinctly answers my questions through study and prayer. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple and knowing this helps me to know my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me personally; hears and answers my prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children. I live my faith by the way I live my life. The way I participate in society, take care of myself, my family, my home. I live my faith by talking about my beliefs with family members that aren't members of the church with love and respect. I want my actions to be an example of my love for Jesus Christ.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jolena
I believe a testimony is a spiritual understanding of divine things. It is a witness given to us by the Holy Ghost that allows us to see and understand things with an heavenly perspective. It allows me to know without a shadow of a doubt that Christ lives, that Heavenly Father knows and loves me personally, that Christ is the son of God and that through Him I can live with my Heavenly Father again. Gaining a testimony about the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith and knowing that we are led by a living prophet today; this understanding has come through a spiritual witness of the Holy Ghost.
