Hi I'm James

I am from Arizona. I am a graphic designer and a proud father of two wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been an artist since I can remember. I was not really good at academics, when I was younger. One thing I could do is draw. I got recognition for my talents and that helped me feel good about myself. As an adult I became interested in business. My ambitions as an entrepreneur sparked an interest in various academic subjects. My learning abilities have increased substantially and I am now able to do anything I want.

Why I am a Mormon

I was able to get an interesting view of the Gospel growing up. My dad is a very kind hearted and good man, but he is not a member of the LDS church. My mother is a dedicated member and she has always taught me to live the Gospel. While I was raised as a member I always knew that it was ultimately my choice to stay in after becoming an adult. I also knew that you did not have to be LDS to be a "good person". I have seen many examples of love and service in the LDS church. I have also witnessed many examples of GOD working through my life and others around me through service in the church. The Gospel is more than just a set of rules to keep you good, you can do that yourself. It is an opportunity to have a close relationship with GOD and learn how to become like him. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was blessed with the opportunity to serve a voluntary full-time, 2 year mission for the LDS Church when I was 19 years old. I was sent to Portugal in Europe and Cabo Verde in West Africa. I was able to spend all of my time studying the scriptures and serving others. I did not have the normal stresses of life like a job or school. This was a unique learning experience for me. I spent most of my time prior to my mission thinking about myself and what I wanted to do or have. This was two years for me to forget about me and think about what other people needed. I experienced cultures that were different from my own, which helped me see a wider perspective of life. I also made friends that I will never forget. Since my mission I have lived my life to the best of my abilities. I have always tried to be as helpful as I can be. The biggest responsibility I have in my life is my two children. I am trying to be the best father I can be for them. Living my faith has it's center in my roll as a father.
