Hi I'm DC

I'm a Chinese-American Mormon. I was baptized in '98 as a convert to the church.

About Me

Married father of 5 with a 12 passenger Ford E-350 van. The great city of Seattle was robbed of their beloved Sonics and Superbowl a few years back. I love being a dad and being married to an awesome woman...I would love to golf more, enjoy basketball and wish I could swim. I think kids these days should really try hard to limit the number of "ums, uhs, ehs, and "like" when talking. I highly recommend the new Windows Phone 7 and think everyone should be using Bing.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife is LDS and she introduced me to the church. We had a civil marriage...i wasn't a member at the time. I wasn't going to join to church for her sake. This had to be a personal decision and it was. I had several spiritual experiences that I couldn't deny. It didn't all become a true reality to me until I earnestly began reading the Book of Mormon with real intent. Once I did that, there was no turning back because if I did, I would only be denying myself of true feelings and my Father in Heaven. I kept this to myself actually for several weeks before sharing with my wife because it was a very scary feeling too. Nothing I had ever experienced before. Fastforward 10+ years and I can look back at those experiences as the foundation of my testimony that continues to grow and gets challenged. My testimony is based on feeling and this is tough for me because I'm all about logic and find comfort knowing that 1+1 = 2. Because of this, Faith has played a huge role in my conversion and growing my testimony.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church is Cub Master. Our pack spans three wards so I get to interact with boys and parents from other wards. It is a great sense of community and very rewarding to work with the youth or future leaders. I also get the occasional opportunity to help my wife out in Nursery. I love the little ones. They are so care-free and fun to interact with. Our youngest is 2 also, so I get to spend time with her when I'm in nursery too. Love it!
